Project Fibonacci was delighted to serve as a Best of Show sponsor for the Rome Academy of Sciences 68th Rome Science Fair, held on February 26 at the New York State School for the Deaf and March 4 at Strough Middle School. This esteemed event continues to cultivate a passion for science among young minds and highlights the extraordinary talent within our community.

Highlights of the Event

A total of 84 students participated, showcasing their scientific prowess across 28 award entries. These diligent students competed for a possible 49 awards, judged across 18 categories and four specialty awards. The winners of these categories had the honor of competing for three distinguished “Best of Fair” awards.

Pathway to Further Achievement

The category winners have now earned the opportunity to showcase their projects at the 46th Utica University Regional Science Fair on Saturday, April 5. To be eligible, entries must be submitted by Monday, March 24. This next stage provides a broader platform for students to demonstrate their innovative ideas and scientific inquiry.

A Community Effort

The Rome Science Fair is a testament to the collective spirit of the Rome community. Sixteen companies, including Project Fibonacci, proudly supported this event, reflecting our commitment to fostering educational and scientific growth. The fair not only celebrates the achievements of young scientists but also encourages future generations to pursue careers in STEM fields.
